Read morePreventive Rehabilitation, commonly known as Prehab, is the practice of performing exercise rehabilitation to strengthen a workers weaknesses before an injury has happened. This is normally determined after a review by a qualified manual therapist, who has identified the weakness or loss of motor control in a group of muscles, that can then be addressed by a targeted strengthening or fitness program, preventing any future injuries caused by underlying issues.
Prehab is a program of strengthening and general fitness exercises to improve a weakness identified in a patient after they have had a physical assessment. These targeted exercises can be tailored for the patient’s required level, taking into consideration their overall fitness, age and exercise history.
